We are looking for multiple subsystem leads in the fields of propulsion and fluids for space vehicles.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse of engineers and technicians, you will apply your extensive understanding of technical principles, theories, concepts, and tools in the field of propulsion (various types) and fluid systems to lead a small team of propulsion or fluids design engineers and analysts to design, develop, and deliver the propulsion and/or fluids systems for spacecraft. Work will include the complete life cycle of the system from definition, interfaces, conceptual design, detailed design, component development, assembly, verification, and operation.

You will identify risks and develop mitigation and development plans related propulsion and fluids hardware. You will work with both internal and external suppliers to develop and procure components or parts of the system. You will coordinate other groups as required to procure, build, and test the system. As the project manager for your system, you will manage project target dates, budgets, tasks, and assignments, and prepare for and support project and technical reviews. You will work independently without appreciable direction to resolve technical objectives of assignments and develop approaches to solutions, while mentoring & training other personnel.

Qualifications:
• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical subject area
• 8+ years of directly applicable experience in applicable propulsion or fluid systems
• Experience developing the liquid propulsion systems, electric propulsion systems, or fluid system as applicable
• Experience with the components of propulsion or fluids disciplines
• Experience leading small teams
• Ability to work well, collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
• Familiar with either agile or waterfall project management
• Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired (but not required):
• M.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical subject area
• 10+ years of directly applicable experience in propulsion or fluid systems
• Experience with upper stages and spacecraft
• Experience with the entire life cycle of a propulsion or fluid system
• Optional: People management experience (hiring, interviewing, performance management)
