Candidate will be responsible for Materials & Processes tasks applied to vehicle spaceflight systems. 


Support tactical and strategic efforts within a cross-functional Materials & Processes team to progress design efforts and hardware.
Provide technical support to design engineers on metallic and softgoods parts subject to hot gas, cryogenic, oxygen, fuel, and other challenging environments.
Develop standards for material use and data generation in a launch vehicle environment.
Support qualification of processes and hardware
Lead test campaigns designing, collecting and analyzing material properties data
Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and integration engineers to implement requirements for metallic space flight hardware
Execute root cause and corrective actions
Contribute to the development of internal engineering and quality processes to standardize and accelerate material evaluation and implementation.


Masters in material science/engineering or related field and 5+ years relevant experience.
B.S. in material science/engineering or related field and 7+ years relavent experience.
Proven experience qualifying processes and parts within an aerospace or gas turbine environment
Proven experience sourcing, analyzing, manufacturing, and testing of aerospace grade materials such as aluminums, nickel alloys, titanium, stainless steel, and other exotic alloys
Experience with materials in cryogenic and elevated temperatures.
Proven experience managing technology development projects, measuring technical progress, resources, and managing budgets.
Proven experience developing and executing test plans for analysis and qualification of components or materials.
Proven experience developing and executing experimental plans, analyzing data and concisely reporting the results.
Strong written and personal computer skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder)
