Quality Specialist

Responsible for developing and executing commercial quality processes for the design, test and manufacture of launch vehicles, spacecraft, and related technologies.  This position requires a passion for solving sophisticated problems and providing operable solutions; act with minimal direction and take ownership; and be adaptable as we work on a variety of applications and systems.


Manage Material Review Areas (MRAs).  Primary focal for storage, organization, processing, and inventories of nonconforming hardware.
Develop and maintain metrics to visualize the health of our site quality and the throughput of MRAs.
Provide training and/or assistance to other team members in the use of quality acceptance processes, procedures, and/or tools
Serve as a 2nd set of eyes when performing inspections of internal flight hardware. As needed, support the review and inspection of supplier related hardware
Document First Article Inspection Reports for internally produced hardware

Conduct process health assessments and internal audits for compliance with industry standards and provide ongoing objective evaluations of processes and documentation
Conduct follow-up and compliance audits to ensure process improvement and corrective / preventive action implementation and effectiveness


Minimum 4 years of Quality and/or Manufacturing experience in an aviation/aerospace manufacturing environment
Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9000 QMS and/or related quality systems and programs

Excellent communication skills, organized, attention to detail, and self-starter
Experience using Excel, Airtable, and Tableau
Knowledge of aerospace / aviation / engine manufacturing processes
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident

2+ years of quality inspection experience
Quality Management System auditing experience
Strong working knowledge of JulesNC, Jules, Windchill, Coupa
Six Sigma Green Belt certification
Material Review Board (MRB) experience
Shown experience within a start-up environment, transitioning a product from development, through production to operations
