Seeking Chassis Dynamometer Operator / Technician / Dynamometer Test Technician / Dyno Test Technician for LONG TERM Contract work in the Marysville, OHIO area:

Dynamometer Test Technician / Dyno Test Technician

Technician will be responsible for conducting chassis dynamometer testing using a climatic chassis dyno.


•Conducting tests to our written procedures and acquiring data.
•Work from a test plan submitted by the dyno leader and test
•Install and remove cars from the test cell.
•Fuel car between tests according to our safety procedures.
•Ability to troubleshoot and repair thermocouple issues.
•Capability to change a wide range of automotive parts as needed.
•Will need to learn the operation of 3 different dynos.
•Occasional vehicle instrumentation.
•Maintains a clean and safe working environment.

•Flexible work hours are required, as well as occasional overtime.
•Occasional 2nd shift may be required.
•Knowledge of dyno operation is required. 3-5 years of experience is preferred.
•A strong understanding of automobiles is required.
•Experience with data acquisition hardware and software is required.
•Proficiency with Microsoft excel, power point, and word desired.

Chassis Dynamometer Operator / Technician

For: Automotive Emission and Fuel Economy Test Group
Job Responsibilities, Activities, and Requirements include:
1)Chassis dynamometer test vehicle installation and removal.
2)Chassis dynamometer measurement of emissions and fuel economy.
3)Operation of highly sensitive, complex analytical test equipment and control software for Chassis Dyno, Emission Analytical systems, and supporting test equipment.
4)Operation of Stealth, Gage, TOMCAT, and EMCS engine ECU interface software.
5)Collection, summary, and basic analysis of data from engine control unit, dynamometer, emission measurement, and supporting test equipment.
6)Mechanical skills for changing parts on vehicles, such as catalysts, injectors, sensors, intake & exhaust manifolds, brakes, tires, engine & transmission assemblies, performing engine valve clearance adjustment, tire mounting and balancing, and maintenance, such as oil changes.
7)Follow prescribed Emission Lab Quality Control processes, collect data, and summarize results from test equipment.
8)Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting and repair of vehicles and test equipment.
9)Must have a thorough understanding of modern internal combustion engine operation theory and demonstrated practical application evident in work history and technical training.
10)Working knowledge of Microsoft office software packages, including MS Excel, and Powerpoint.
